The team’s experience of dealing with maintenance, tenant and building issues assists in reducing the amount of call outs to properties and ultimately the costs for the property owner.

  • Hooke & MacDonald have been to the forefront in the industry to promote, market and let numerous large scale Private Rental Sector and multi-family development projects as a solution to the shortage of stock in the rental market in Dublin and other cities. Of these developments Hooke & MacDonald provided property management services for the majority of them following tenant occupation.

  • As units are completed the Hooke & MacDonald team liaises closely with the clients to ensure that rents are maximised on each phased release of units. This includes unit-by-unit review of rental levels on an on-going basis to ensure rents are consistently increased where possible.
  • Vetting prospective tenants is an important role for each lettings campaign – this involves checking the tenants references; ringing employers; following up with previous landlords; assessing records of income and the prospective tenants financial ability to meet rental payments through examining payment slips and bank statements.

ESG

At Hooke & MacDonald, the highly knowledgeable team assist Clients to turn their ESG strategies into meaningful actions. With respect to our role as Property Managers, we recognise the importance of commencing relevant data collection from ‘day one’ to ensure that the Client is future proofed regarding their ESG reporting requirements e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GSREB. We outline below the proactive measures Hooke & MacDonald take to work with our Clients to assist them to conform to best practice ESG principles.

Data Collection & Reporting:

Gather comprehensive data on ESG metrics across the real estate portfolio. This includes water consumption, waste consumption, waste management, energy management, tenant satisfaction and governance policies.

Sustainability Strategy.

Work with the client to assist with theirmeasurable goals such as reducing carbon footprint.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage with residents, employees and the local community to foster collaboration on ESG goals and promote sustainability practices within the portfolio.

Performance Improvement:

Regularly assess and improve performance across ESG criteria. Assist if the client is looking to adapt new technologies or implementing social programs to enhance health well-being and community engagement.

GRESB Submission:

Upload the performance data and strategy to benchmark against global peers and identify areas for continuous improvement & complete annual asset management data collection for GRESB.
